UPDATE: KCSO Searching for Suspect in Four Armed Robberies and Person of Interest in One
Thanks to media coverage, the person of interest in a Waffle House armed robbery has been identified and located. The Knox County Sheriff's Office is still asking for the public's assistance in identifying the black female who has robbed four businesses in Knox County since last month.
The first robbery occurred on March 27th at Rocky Top Market, located at 10518 Kingston Pike. The second occurred on April 6th at Subway, located at 7654 Oak Ridge Highway. The third and forth took place on April 10th at Rocky Top Market, located at 10518 Kingston Pike, and at Waffle House, located at 5416 Asheville Highway. In each robbery, the suspect entered the business, displayed a semi-automatic handgun, demanded money, and fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 20-30-years old, 110-130 pounds, 5’8”-5’10”, with a thin build.
The matter is being investigated by KCSO’s Major Crimes Unit and the Knoxville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit. KCSO is in the process of interviewing the person of interest in the Waffle House armed robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact KCSO’s Major Crimes Unit at (865) 215-2243.
