Lee's Food Mart Armed Robbery Suspect

The Knox County Sheriff's Office is searching for the man who robbed Lee's Food Mart Monday morning. According to the initial investigation, a black male armed with a knife entered the business, located at 7657 Clinton Highway, around 8:17 a.m. and demanded money. After receiving the money, he fled on foot headed southbound on Clinton Highway toward Knoxville.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30-40-years-old and 5'5"-5'8" with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark pants, and kept his face covered during the robbery. He is believed to also be responsible for a June 14th robbery that occurred at Rocky Top Market, located at 308 E. Emory Road and a June 27th robbery that occurred at Pilot, located at 6804 Clinton Highway. The Knoxville Police Department is also working similar robberies.
