KCSO Arrests Man for Attempted Second Degree Murder

A Knoxville man charged with attempted second degree murder was arrested by the Knox County Sheriffs Office this morning. 45-year-old Robert Kochendorfer of Knoxville was taken into custody just before 11:45 a.m. at his home on Walker Springs. An investigation by the Knox County Sheriffs Office Major Crimes and Family Crisis Units led to the charge, which stemmed from a domestic violence incident that occurred in Knox County on August 9th. Kochendorfer is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $500,000 bond. No mug shot is available at this time. The KCSO Family Crisis Unit investigates cases involving domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, animal abuse, and cyber investigations.
