KCSO Arrests Man for Aggravated Assault and Assaulting a Fetus

A Knoxville man charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a fetus and was arrested without incident last night by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. 27-year-old Jared Rashaun Stephens was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. by patrol officers with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest came after KCSO’s Family Crisis Unit placed warrants on Stephens for an incident involving domestic violence that occurred on Monday, September 11th.

Stephens is charged with assault (fetus as a victim) and domestic aggravated assault, and is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $40,000 bond. He has a criminal history in Knox County that includes domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and aggravated assault (strangulation).
