Two Armed Robbers Hit West Knox Dry Cleaners

The Major Crimes Unit of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery of a west Knox County dry cleaners.   Two men robbed the Farragut Cleaners at 430 N. Cedar Bluff Road around 4 o’clock Friday afternoon.  One suspect brandished a gun at the clerk and demanded money.  Both men are described as black.  One was dressed as a woman (see security camera pictures below) and was described as 6’ to 6’2”, thin build, about 150-160 pounds, black dreadlocks with red highlights that were about shoulder to mid-back length.  He was wearing a salmon or pink tank top with a light colored tank top underneath.  He was also wearing a yellow, turquois, and purple striped skirt and flip flops.  The flip flops were left at the scene.

The second suspect was described as 6’-6’2”, medium build, around 200-210 pounds, short black hair, wearing a light colored t-shirt, and blue jeans.  He was also wearing a dark blue or black hat.

Both fled the scene in either a newer model dark blue or black Kia Optima or a dark blue or black Honda Civic.
