KCSO Charges Cop Impersonator

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has charged the man responsible for impersonating an officer and pulling a gun on a woman in the parking lot of a North Knox County gym on January 14th. 40-year-old Troy Norman of Powell was picked up by patrol on Saturday, January 20th and charged with driving on a revoked license from a previous DUI. Following an investigation by KCSO’s Major Crimes Unit, he was charged with aggravated assault and criminal impersonation on January 26th. He is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a combined bond of $37,000. Norman has a criminal history in Knox County that includes DUI, reckless boating, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and multiple other driving and boating offenses.
