Dollar General Armed Robbery Suspect Identified

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has identified and is searching for the man responsible for robbing a South Knox County business Friday night. The suspect, 50–year-old Randy Woody of Knoxville, entered the Dollar General, located at 3130 Circle Oak Drive, around 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Armed with what appeared to be a handgun, he demanded money and left.

 

Woody is described as a white male, 5’9”, and approximately 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, grey or beige-toned pants, and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. He is believed to be driving a blue 1991 Buick LeSabre, bearing Tennessee license plate Y88-91X. Anyone with information is asked to contact KCSO’s Major Crimes Unit at (865) 215-2243.
