KCSO Searching for Truck Stolen with Dog Inside

Friday, 09 February 2018

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a truck that was stolen with a dog inside from a South Knox County gas station Thursday afternoon. A man contacted the KCSO just before 6:30 p.m. yesterday to report that he went inside the Weigel’s, located at 3104 W. Governor John Sevier Highway, for a couple of minutes and when he returned, found that his vehicle had been stolen. His dog, a white female Shih Tzu named Lulu, was inside the vehicle, a 2000 red Chevy S-10, bearing TN license plate 753 KCR.

A witness said he had seen a white male in tan Carhartt overalls and a pink hoodie get into the vehicle and head eastbound on Governor John Sevier Highway. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at (865) 215-2243.

(The vehicle photo is a stock photo, and not a photo of the actual stolen truck.)
