Stolen Vehicle Found Abandoned, Dog Inside Found Safe

Friday, 09 February 2018

The vehicle stolen from a South Knox County gas station yesterday was recovered this morning, and the dog inside was found safe. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office began searching for the vehicle and the dog after they were taken from the Weigel’s, located at 3014 W. Governor John Sevier Highway, yesterday afternoon. The vehicle was found abandoned this afternoon on Government Farm Road by officers who had been canvassing the area. The dog was found safe inside the vehicle and was transported by officers to her owner.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in spreading awareness of the situation.
