Monday, 12 March 2018

The Major Crimes Unit of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office continues the search for three Hispanic men who attempted to take an infant from the arms of its mother at gunpoint in a parking lot of a West Knox County apartment complex on January 31. During the struggle the woman held onto her baby, but they stole her purse and some other belongings.  The incident happened around 2:30 at the Walker Springs Apartment Complex.  No one was injured.  Detectives now have a composite drawing of two of the men.

Suspect number one has medium build, with medium complexion, 5’2-5’5, 130-140 pounds, black hair, black eyes, around 28 years old with a cut over the left eye. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Suspect number two has a chubby build, black hair, full beard, 5’9-5’11, around 160 pounds, and appeared to be about 34 years old.  He was wearing a blue jean jacket with flames on it and grey jeans pants.

There is no drawing for suspect number three.  He is described as a Hispanic male with black hair.

The suspects got away in a white sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima with damage to the rear, with a black hood, red trunk, red rear driver door, black rims, and loud exhaust.

Anyone with information is asked to call the KCSO at 215-2243.
