Shell Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit arrested the man responsible for last week’s Shell armed robbery this morning. 42-year-old Matthew Lowe Holder of Oak Ridge was taken into custody without incident just before 10:00 a.m. in Oak Ridge. He is responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on March 17th at the Shell, located at 8901 Oak Ridge Highway.

Holder is charged with aggravated robbery and is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond. He has a criminal history in Knox County that includes criminal simulation, forgery, and public intoxication.
