Saturday, 05 May 2018

Two Knoxville teens face a number of charges that started with robbing four juveniles Friday night.  The juveniles were camping out in the backyard in the 500 block of Corum Road.  Shortly before 9 o’clock, two 19 year old suspects approached them and demanded their wallets and other personal items.  The suspect identified as Tray Parton brandished a handgun and struck two of the juveniles with the pistol during the robbery.  The other suspect was identified as David Sanders.  He returned to the area after the robbery and was arrested by a detective with the Knox County Major Crimes Unit.  Sanders is being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on four counts of aggravated robbery.

Meanwhile, KCSO Patrol Officers found Tray Parton in his 1992 Ford Ranger outside his residence at 223 South Wooddale Road around 11 o’clock.  After a short pursuit, Parton was taken into custody.   He is charged with 4 counts of aggravated robbery, 4 counts of aggravated assault, evading arrest, unlawful drug paraphernalia, vehicle registration violations, aggravated assault on a public official, and driving without insurance.
