Two Men Arrested Following Discovery of Large Amount of Drugs

Two men were found in possession of a large quantity of drugs and arrested yesterday afternoon in Northwest Knox County. 22-year-olds Isaiah Weatherspoon and Christopher Allen, both of Knoxville, were taken into custody without incident at 3707 Gunnison Way just after 2:00 p.m. Monday. The arrests followed a joint investigation by detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S. Postal Investigations Services that yielded the following:

Approximately 13 pounds of marijuana
Approximately one pound of hash
Over 10,000 Xanax pills
Over 30 amphetamine pills
Numerous THC edibles
Approximately 20 grams of medical cannabis
a large amount of cash
three vehicles

Weatherspoon is charged with possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities; possession of a firearm during a drug offense; and the manufacture, delivery, sell, and possession of schedule VI drugs, schedule V drugs, schedule IV drugs, and schedule II drugs with a combined $65,500 bond.

Allen is charged with possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities, and schedule VI drugs: drug free zone other than school with a combined $10,500 bond.
