Suspect Apprehended by K-9 after Pursuit

A Knox County Sheriff’s Officer responded to a call at Knoxville Tactical on Emory Road at Blueberry around noon today.  The complainant said a man was assaulting people in the parking lot.  When the officer arrived, the suspect jumped into a car and hit the deputy’s vehicle.  During the short pursuit he ran into two more deputies’ cars.  No one was injured.  The chase ended on Pedigo Road and the suspect was apprehended by a K-9.  The suspect was taken to Tennova North Hospital for evaluation.  He faces a long list of charges including aggravated assault.  He does not have a prior record.  The suspect’s name will be released when he is charged.
