Assistance Needed to ID Suspect

The Major Crimes Unit of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who broke into a home in North Knox County, assaulted the homeowner, and then stole her car.

The incident occurred on May 29th around 2:30 when the suspect entered a residence in the 1500 block of Dry Gap Pike in an attempt to rob the homeowner.  The suspect assaulted the homeowner and stole her 2001 Honda Civic, which in the meantime has been recovered and returned to the victim.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5’8 and 5’10, approximately 190-200 pounds, brown hair, and had a large injury like red mark on his left cheek.  He was wearing a short sleeve gray shirt and brown shorts. If you have any information, please call the KCSO at 215-2243.
