Altercation Leads to Stabbing Death in West Knox County

Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit have charged a Knoxville woman with second degree murder after she stabbed a man in a West Knoxville restaurant.  Rickeena Hamilton, 38, is in the Knox County Jail with a bond set at $200,000.  The incident happened Sunday night at Bull Feathers located at 10535 Kingston Pike.  The victim, Timothy Cox, 22, and the suspect had been involved in a physical altercation inside the restaurant.  As they were leaving, Hamilton attacked Cox with a knife.  Cox was transported to Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Creek where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation led to a residence in South Knox County where Hamilton was taken into custody without incident.  She has a criminal history in Knox County that involves disorderly conduct, public intoxication, drug charges, and theft.
