KCSO Captain Phil Dalton Graduates from FBI Academy

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Captain Phil Dalton has graduated from the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia. Dalton has been with the Sheriff’s Office for twenty years, starting as a Corrections Officer, Patrol Officer for 7 years, Patrol Sergeant for 8 years, Patrol Lieutenant for 2 years and Captain for a year.  Captain Dalton is now Training Coordinator and SWAT Team Leader.  He has been on the SWAT Team for 14 years.

The FBI Academy is internationally known for its academic excellence. The ten weeks of training consisted of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training.  Two hundred and twenty-eight law enforcement officers graduated from this class.

The FBI National Academy prides itself on providing training for the top 1% of law enforcement leaders.
