The Knox County Sheriff’s Office – Information & Technology Unit promotes efficient information gathering and dissemination to public citizens and personnel, applying current and future advancements in technology, while remaining fiscally accountable to Knox County residents.

Our Work

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Information & Technology Unit is responsible for providing service and support of the IT systems and infrastructure in both on premise and mobile environments.

The IT Unit is comprised of many staff with expertise in the following disciplines:

 

  • Jail automation systems.
  • Network security, installation and authentication.
  • Server administration of web, email, database, and user accounting.
  • Body worn and surveillance video systems.
  • End user software and hardware configuration.
  • Data cable installation.
  • Telephony and cellular remote access.
