The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating a fatal car crash on Schaeffer Road in West Knox County. The collision involved two vehicles. At this time, it appears one vehicle crossed the center line, hitting the other head-on. Sergeant DeArmond says speed and alcohol are contributing factors, and charges are pending. The road will be closed until approximately 11:30 pm.
