Knox Tactical Burglary Solved

On Sunday November 1, 2020 at approximately 0349 hours Deputies/Detectives responded to Knoxville Tactical located at 7609 Blueberry Road on a burglary. It was determined that at least 12 handguns were stolen from the business.

The investigation revealed several juveniles and adults were involved in not only the Knoxville Tactical Burglary but additional businesses as well as vehicle burglaries and thefts. On November 4, 2020 at approximately 1053 hours Detectives from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Crimes Unit, Property Crimes Unit, and Narcotics Unit along with the ATF executed a search at 1570 Hull Lane. There were two stolen vehicles, twenty two firearms including an AR-15 and AK-47 assault rifles recovered at this location. Two of the firearms recovered were from the Knoxville Tactical Burglary.

During the investigation Detectives determined the group had also been involved in a business burglary earlier on November 4, 2020 at Topside Gun Warehouse located on Topside Road in Louisville, Tennessee, where at least twenty guns were reported to have been stolen. While on scene, Detectives learned of another stolen vehicle that the suspects parked at the Walmart on Walbrook Drive. This stolen vehicle was used in other burglaries in surrounding jurisdictions. The vehicle was recovered by Detectives, they also located additional stolen items inside the vehicle to include ammunition, and firearms accessories.

There were three stolen vehicles – Two recovered at the residence and one recovered in the Walmart parking lot. Twenty two firearms including an AR-15 and AK-47 assault rifles recovered at this location. Two of the firearms recovered were from the Knoxville Tactical Burglary. Detectives also seized approximately $1800.00 in US Currency from two of the arrestees-the money was found to be proceeds from the stolen firearms.

Detectives arrested two male juveniles, two male adults and three female juveniles. The adults arrested are identified as Alexander M. Foye DOB 07/08/2002 and Joel A. Frye DOB 08/17/2001-a list of charges for each will be forthcoming as not all are charged with business burglary.
