📢 National Corrections Officers Appreciation Week 💙

This week, we proudly honor the dedicated men and women who serve as correctional officers at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Their commitment to safety, security, and rehabilitation is vital in keeping our community safe.

Sheriff Tom Spangler says it best: “Our corrections officers are the unsung heroes of public safety, facing challenges with courage and compassion every day. Their unwavering dedication makes a difference in our facilities and our entire community. We thank them for their tireless service and commitment.”

Chief Deputy Bernie Lyon, whose own career corrections provided a solid foundation, adds: “Working as a corrections officer taught me invaluable lessons in patience, understanding, and leadership. These experiences laid the foundation for my journey and growth as a patrol officer. I am deeply grateful for the hard-working officers who continue to inspire and protect us all.”

Join us in celebrating these outstanding individuals who work diligently behind the scenes to ensure the safety of our community. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. Thank you! 🙌🏼
