Deputies Struck Head On while responding to a fight call at the Ingles Parking lot in Halls. – Knoxville, TN – At approximately 10 PM this evening, a Deputy and his Probationary Officer from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a serious traffic incident in the Halls area. The officer’s vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle during the course of their duties. – When the collision occurred, the two were responding to an active fight call in the Ingles in Halls’ parking lot. Emergency services arrived quickly, and the deputy was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for evaluation and treatment. The nature of the deputy’s injuries is currently being assessed, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. The probationary officer did not require treatment. – The other vehicle involved in the crash was occupied by one adult male, who also sustained injuries, the extent of which is unknown.
