On Monday, March 16thOfficers with the Knox County Sheriffās Office Organized Retail Crime Unit, Narcotics Unit and S.W.A.T. Executed search warrants at 2520 Boydās Bridge Avenue and 919 Beaumont Avenue after conducting an investigation. Officers seized approximately $25,000 in new and like new items, Oxycodone, opana, marijuana and cash. Demauria Hackler and Kristy Bowling were both arrested and charged with Theft over $2500, Violating the Organized Retail Crime Prevention Act, Schedule II drug violation, Schedule VI drug violation and maintaining a dwelling for drug use.
Sheriff Tom Spangler commends the work of all involved and wants the public to know that the Knox County Sheriffs Office is open and while heās instructed his Officers/Detectives and support staff to use caution when coming into contact with the public, heās also putting the public on notice that KCSO will continue to serve our community. Sheriff Spangler wants the citizens to remain vigilant and strong during this unprecedented time.
