The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating numerous vehicle burglaries within Knox County. The suspect vehicle (2020 grey Audi Q3 SUV) was involved in the vehicle burglaries and was recovered abandoned in the Halls area last night, October 11, 2023, off Emory Road near Maynardville Highway. The Audi was reported stolen last month through another agency.
The burglaries have resulted in numerous firearms being taken along with personal identifying information such as social security cards and credit cards, among other items stolen. The series of vehicle burglaries began near the end of September through today.
One of the many vehicles targeted during the string of vehicle burglaries did include a Law Enforcement vehicle. As always, we encourage you to remove firearms and other valuables from your vehicle as a deterrent and always lock your car even if you plan on being indoors for a short time. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the burglaries. If you have any information, please get in touch with Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 865-215-2243 or
