Knox County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives have made two arrests in the homicide of David Howard that occurred at 5904 Jones Road that occurred on December 1, 2021.

Jessica Leann Hamlet, 35, First Degree Murder in Perpetration/Attempt a Crime.
Joseph Adam Sparks, 47, First Degree Murder in Perpetration/Attempt a Crime.
During the investigation, Matthew Garcia was arrested on outstanding warrants. Failure to Appear, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia and Activities and Evading Arrest.

UPDATE: December 2, 2021 The victim has been identified as David Richard Howard, 28 of Corryton.

The homicide investigation remains open and active.

Jacklyn Rachelle Steele, 30 of Knoxville, was arrested on charges unrelated to the homicide.
-Sale / Delivery Schedule I – Heroin
-Sale / Delivery Schedule II – Fentanyl
-Sale / Delivery Schedule II – Methamphetamine
-Sale / Delivery Schedule VI – Marijuana
-Possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony

-SHOOTING INVESTIGATION-

Knox County Sheriff Tom Spangler says KCSO Patrol Units, Major Crimes Detectives, and Forensics is on the scene of a shooting in the 5900 block of Jones Road in North Knox County.

Upon arrival, Patrol Officers discovered one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by AMR.

The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages, more information will be forthcoming as it progresses.
