UPDATE: December 2, 2021 The victim has been identified as David Richard Howard, 28 of Corryton.
The homicide investigation remains open and active.
Jacklyn Rachelle Steele, 30 of Knoxville, was arrested on charges unrelated to the homicide.

-Sale / Delivery Schedule II – Fentanyl
-Sale / Delivery Schedule II – Methamphetamine
-Sale / Delivery Schedule VI – Marijuana
-Possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony

-SHOOTING INVESTIGATION-
Knox County Sheriff Tom Spangler says KCSO Patrol Units, Major Crimes Detectives, and Forensics is on the scene of a shooting in the 5900 block of Jones Road in North Knox County.
Upon arrival, Patrol Officers discovered one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by AMR.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, more information will be forthcoming as it progresses.
